The painting is on display in the window of The Table in Hay-on-Wye, Powys. The painting has been the subject of some controversy, it is a nude, in a window of a gallery, and the subject is a lady with her legs open. The painting forms part of the gallery’s ‘It’s Party Time’ exhibition.
One local described the painting as “Not very Hay-on-Wye”.
The old adage that there is no such thing as bad publicity is definitely true in this case, as Ms Baynham commented: “The publicity has been amazing for my work, I’ve never had so many people talk about it.”
