Here at Nude Is Normal we like a bit of Art Nude. I like to photograph the nude, and I have also worked as a life model.
My style of photography was influenced by the work of André de Dienes.
André de Dienes was a photographer who specialised in nudes and landscapes, often combining both genres. de Dienes has a particular look, often imitated, rarely matched. As he was active in the middle of the 20th century much of his work was in monochrome.
As well as Marilyn Monroe, de Dienes also photographed such notable actors as Elizabeth Taylor, Marlon Brando, Henry Fonda, Shirley Temple, Ingrid Bergman, Ronald Reagan, Jane Russell, Anita Ekberg and Fred Astaire.
His books on photography are very collectable, worth acquiring if you see them in a bookshop.
