On Tuesday, September 3, Valérie-Anne tried the experience: visiting a museum in total nudity. She was at the third of the naturist evenings of the exhibition Paradis naturistes at the MUCEM in Marseille, and tells us about her experience.
On Tuesday, September 3, says Valérie-Anne, I had the opportunity to go to Marseille (just the day before major flooding in the city!) to the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations (Mucem) for a completely unique and off-the-beaten-track experience: a naked visit as part of an exhibition on naturism!
I had a very strong and emotional moment: finding yourself surrounded by works of art and people completely naked is something that shakes up habits and social conventions. For me, and for all the people present (the “real” naturists, used to social nudity), it was very natural and normal, since we already live like that!
So I immediately felt perfectly at ease and in my element, happy even to be able to live this visit in harmony with what I am and the values that drive me.
Because yes, thanks to this exhibition I realized that I find myself 100% in the values of naturism (the fact of living in harmony with nature and the elements, tolerance and kindness, respect for everyone whatever their appearance, etc.).
I discovered with interest an exhibition that explored the origins of the naturist movement, as well as the relationship between the human body and nature in a deep and sensitive way. The works presented highlighted the beauty and simplicity of naturism, far from clichés and prejudices.
It was an experience that was both unusual and enlightening, and that made me think about our relationship with our own bodies and with the nature that surrounds us.
The next n.ue visit, supervised by the ANP, will take place on October 11 2024 at 7 p.m.
